Pakistan hangs four murder convicts

Islamabad, Sep 3 (IANS): Four Pakistani murder convicts were hanged to death on Thursday in separate jails in Punjab province, the media reported.

Muhammad Khan, Muhammad Boota, and Faqeer Muhammad were executed in Bahawalpur Central Jail while Maqbool was hanged in Kasur District Jail, Geo News reported.

Pakistan lifted the ban on executions in December 2014, which had been in place since 2008, following a Taliban attack on a school in Peshawar that killed more than 150 people - mostly children - in the country's deadliest ever terror attack.
