'Pakistani Taliban involved in minister's killing'


Islamabad, Sep 4 (IANS): Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan's (TTP) Aftab Group was involved in the killing of Shuja Khanzada, the home minister of Pakistan's Punjab province, provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said.

"The perpetrators involved in the attack on Khanzada belonged to the TTP Aftab Group. Some suspects have been arrested and soon the law-enforcement agencies will capture others," Dawn online quoted Sanaullah as saying on Thursday.

"The Joint Investigation Team is investigating the matter and the motorcycle (number) used in the attack has been traced," Sanaullah said.

Khanzada was among 12 people killed on August 16 in a bomb attack that destroyed his office in Attock city.
