M'luru: Kadri cricketers club, SEZ celebrate feast through sharing

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (JS)

Mangaluru, Sep 4: Kadri cricketers club in association with Mangalore SEZ limited distributed 5 kg rice each to 700 people at Kadri here on September 4.

Speaking on the occasion, MLC Capt. Ganesh Karnik said, "If one asks where God can be seen, we believe that God is in the poor, needy and weaker section of society.

This is the best way to celebrate the feast by distributing to the poor and needy people. Though the government has provided many schemes for the poor, there is still poverty after 69 years of independence. If society does not help, then who will? I congratulate the Kadri Cricketers Club for conducting such a meaningful programme."

Speaking on the occasion MLA J R Lobo said, "Lord Krishna came to this land for the betterment of society. The manner in which the feast is being celebrated by Kadri Cricketers is an example for us. Sharing with the poor is the real way of celebrating. Symbolic celebrations alone will not do, but thinking about others is also necessary. I congratulate the whole team and the donors of Kadri cricketers and hope they continue this good work in the future too."

Siraj Ahmed, managing director of Inland builders said, "Krishna Janmashtami, Deepavali and other feasts bring joy and happiness to all communities. We see a happy environment throughout the city. I congratulate all the organizers for organizing such a meaningful programme."

Ramachandra Bhandarkar, Sunil Achaar, Ratnakar Jain, Dinesh Devadiga, Kiran Kumar Jogi, corporators Shashidar Hegde, Ashok D K, Mahabala Maarla, Keshav Maroli, Roopa D Bangera, Sudhir Shetty and others were present.

Ganesh Shirva from Dubai was main sponsor of the event.
