Bantwal, Sep 7: In connection with the missing of a woman from Kambalabettu within Vittal police station limits recently along with her child, the body of the two-year-old son of the woman, Charan, was found deposited on the banks of River Netravati at Kadeshivalya on Sunday September 6. The mother's mortal remains had been found at the same spot on Saturday.

The woman, whose husband works at Mumbai, had left her home on September 3, saying that she would return after depositing money belonging to Stree Shakti self help group in a private bank at Pariyaltadka. As she neither returned, nor was there any information about her, and also following rumours that a woman along with child had jumped into River Netravati near Sahasralingeshwara temple at Uppinangady, her father-in-law, Pakeera Gowda, had filed missing complaint in Vittal police station.

Relating to the incident, brother of the deceased also filed a complaint. Satish, husband of the woman, has since returned to his native place from Mumbai. The policemen believe that the woman would have been frustrated at having to live here alone, away from her husband. It is gathered that one of her husband's brothers, is in vegetative state at home, and hence needs to be cared for.

Rural police station house officer, Rakshit, who has registered the case, has been investigating the case.
