Mangaluru, Sep 7: The second and final round of auditions for the popular 'Mangalore Idol 2015' singing contest was held at Forum Fiza Mall here on Sunday September 7.
The contest, in its second edition, it being organized by Big Time Creations in association with Daijiworld 24x7, the television channel of Daijiworld Group.
The final round of auditions, which began at 11 am and went on till evening, received overwhelming response.
At the end of the day, 16 finalists and 3 backup contestants were chosen for the semi-final which will be held in the month of October.
Arjun Kapikad, lead actor of upcoming Tulu movie 'Chandi Kori' promoted his movie and sang a song on the occasion. He lauded the organizers of 'Mangalore Idol' and Daijiworld Tv. He also wished good luck to all the participants of Mangalore idol.
Manikanth Kadri, the leading Kannada, Telugu and Tamil music director, playback singers Supriya Lohith and Santosh Venky will be the judges for the contest finale.
The winner of the contest will be awarded with Mangalore Idol trophy and 2 round-trip tickets to Dubai by Jet Airways, the travel partner of the event.
Manikanth Kadri and Supriya Lohith decided the semi-finalists.
