Delhi, Jun 30: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) vice president and former Delhi chief minister Sahib Singh Verma was on Saturday killed in a road accident in Shahjahanpur in Rajasthan.

He was returning from Sikar in Rajasthan when the Tata Safari in which he was travelling collided with a truck on national highway 8. The driver and the gunner of Verma were also killed in the crash.

Sixtyfour-year-old Verma was Union labour minister in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) regime led by Atal Behari Vajpayee.

BJP leaders including Shahnawaz Hussain expressed shock and grief at the demise of Verma who was chief minister of Delhi between 1996 and 1998.
