Mangaluru, Sep 9: An incident of attempt to assault a youth took place in a mall in city on Tuesday September 8. The reason cited for the attempt of assault was that the youth visited the mall in Hampanakatta with a girl of another community.

As per details, Arjun a youth who hails originally from Kerala came to the mall with two young girls, one from his community and another from a different community. A team of youngsters stopped him to enquire why he was moving with the girl of another community and tried to assault him. But one more team also arrived there from another community at the same time. The situation turned tense with two teams stationed on the same place.

The police who arrived on time calmed down the situation and foiled the attempt to assault the youth. They also took Arjun and two girls to the police station. It is said all the three are the students of a same college in city.

Bunder police have registered a case against the team of youngsters who tried to assault Arjun.

Few days back a member of muslim community said muslims should not take on hindu girls for job in their shops/malls etc. Now I think he should add one more comment that Hindus should not allow muslim girls in their colleges.. lol :)

when we study we are not with same community, doctors neighbors, hospitals, work everywhere we cannot get same religion or community.....as we are human, need of mixture all the place. and we need help from others or from other community too. If not we cant stay in the world,

Community/cast/creed based differences and ideology one day will create such a situation that there could be gang fights in the society. Social reformers, elders and police should try to bring some order or understanding among today's youth and save the society from the evils of community differences.
During those olden days we never faced such discrimination or communal hatred. We had a choice or privilege to move freely with a girl of another community and hardly been attacked or threatened.

As Mr. Bhandarkar, he could provide lot's names of girls from other community.

these people should not inter fear on others privacy,only god might know the fact,if the intention of a men/wmn are good they might be free from gods punsihment.(for eg in case of medical urgency neighbor of that ailed person will be from other community & they will take him to hospital,a relative from ailed person and that neighbor walks together on road for medicine or any other urgency.do we can call it as sin?)

You are staying in a democratic country and why you create bars among the new generateion. What is wrong if a muslim guy roams with a hindu girl. i have two answer for your question.
1)as they are the citizen and they were mature enough to take decision of their own. socially if they do anything wrong or right both of them have equal share in it.so no people can offend them.
2)since perchu asking about islam,my suggestion is if he just talked to that girl since she is his collegue there is nothing wrong,but if thatperson had any wrong intention on mind if he touch that girl (even girl belong to same community also)with or without her consent its is prohibited in islam,

Seriously people why do these youth care of who goes with who... seems like the youth are guided in the wrong direction and just have nothing to do... are these girl with (Arjun) related to any of the boys.. when the parents and family do not object who are these so called youth to stop and question them ? This will not stop until the police take serious action against Moral policing and making an example with the punishment. As long as the police is under the pressure from certain people this will continue. Whats wrong with the youth of today ? - specially in Mangalore and good luck with the smart city. The security in mall should keep and eye and should not allow these kind of nothing to do youth to congregate in the malls (or anywhere in the city) and disturb peace. This is getting out of hands even after the visit of the Minister and giving out statements. A special vigilance squad should be formed to tackle this problem... its already too much.
