Man who killed woman in Australian McDonald's dead

Brisbane, Sep 11 (IANS): A man who shot dead a woman at a McDonald's restaurant in Australia's Queensland state, died on Friday.

The incident took place on Thursday in the dining area of the restaurant on Gold Coast city's Siganto Drive when 57-year-old Stephen Lock shot his estranged wife Karina Lock, 49, in the head, ABC reported.

After shooting her, Lock turned the gun on himself. He was taken to a hospital where he died earlier in the day.

"A woman has just been killed and her children and her family have to live with that," she said.

"These people who kill their partners are cowards."
