Los Angeles, Sep 12 (IANS): Singer Selena Gomez and former footballer David Beckham's son Brooklyn were seen posing together at a New York Fashion Week event. The duo smiled sweetly as he wrapped his arm around her and at one point she rested her head on his shoulder.

Brooklyn, 16, has previously made it clear that he is an admirer of Gomez. Later, Brooklyn sent his fans on Instagram into hysterics after he posted a black-and-white photograph of him with Gomez, 23, on Friday, reports aceshowbiz.com.

"Hanging with this cool girl @selenagomez," read the caption alongside the image which showed them cosying u[ at the Polo Ralph Lauren New York Fashion Week event on Thursday.

Gomez could be seen putting her hand on Brooklyn's shoulder. The full body shot even showed him putting his arm around her waist.

Fans had mixed feelings about the photograph, but many of them seemed to approve them as a couple.

However, Brooklyn is reportedly dating French actress Sonia Ben Ammar, whom he first met over spring break in the Maldives.
