Definitely, nobody will 'STAB' an unknown person unless being provoked with some abuses or threatening, which is my opinion! Auto drivers in Mangluru have a very dubious distinction of being very rude and rowdy!!!

it's surprising and shocking also that for such a small small issues people get in to stabbing, murdering and all... this is clearly a disaster on law and order in the city. Forget whether it was right or wrong from the auto driver point of view. but for such a reason, youth stabbed him and escaped from the venue. Just act upon and arrest the culprits. It may not be tough to identify the bikers as bike is under custody. Why the hell it's mentioned as "bike owner has been identified but declined to reveal the name".. why the hell he is having the luxury not to reveal his name yaar. such a crime and we are respecting the demand from the bike owner... ha ha ha... that shows how seriously we may expect the investigation.

Auto drivers themselves do not follow the rules, but, act like [im]moral police towards the public.

Maintaining traffic discipline is the job of Police and not of auto drivers.

Hope auto and bus drivers and conductors learn lesson from this incident.

I do not see enforcement of traffic regulations - therefore this incidence is due to bikers not aware of the actual traffic rules. If police does not stop them - one gets angry when confronted.

Recently I was walking in the street of PM Rao Rd which is clearly a one way to KSRao road. Auto driver got angry at my questioning - shouted at me - Who told you its one way?
No Cops - no fines. Soon there was road block due to congestion.

Why cant the RTO/Police/Corporation work together to put more clear road signs?

Our leaders are an extension of all of us. If we do not follow discipline, follow traffic rules then we cannot blame the ministers, police etc. We can demand them to enforce the rules ( bitter pill?)

    1. Why do we not wear helmets? If we wear then do not use the strap. what is the use of the helmet without a strap. We can cover our head with a cloth and carry a comb. Why blame the leaders when we do not heed the safety norms however uncomfortable an helmet is - there is no excuse for not properly wearing it.
    2. HIGH BEAM : The 4 wheeler with Big cars ( as well as not so big) want parking place. Yet how many of us resort to HIGH BEAM at night? This behavior is shame full as these people do not have basic civic sense and do not care if the 2 wheel riders are blinded by their lights.

    3. Using horns un-necessarily: Cannot wait for the traffic signal to become green - starts horning. Can the vehicles in front go faster or make way for horning?

Before becoming smart people I guess we need to get rid of the smartass attitude - to be truly belonging in a smart city.

Case can take the following turns once the names the attackers are published.

Situation 1: If the attackers belong to Minority,.. then this Auto Driver automatically qualifies for BD/Sang Parivar member and he was moral policing the attackers who retaliated. Sickulars will market it & Dongis will buy it.
Situation 2: If the Attackers do not Belong to Minority.. Then they themselves automatically qualify as for BD/Sang Parivar members, BD, RSS/SRS is the terrorist organization, tis high time to ban them in the state. Sickulars will market it & Dongis will buy it..again.
