10 killed in Cameroon suicide blasts

Yaounde, Sep 13 (IANS): Ten people were killed and 14 others injured in twin suicide bomb blasts which took place in Cameroon, military sources told Xinhua on phone.

It is suspected that Nigerian Islamist militant group Boko Haram is behind the attacks, military sources said.

"The attackers are two boys between 14-16 years old. This is the preliminary information I received, but needs to be further confirmed," Cameroonian Communication Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary told Xinhua news agency.

According to local sources, one of the two attacks took place in Latin quarter in Kolofata where a lot of Nigerian refugees who ran away from Boko Haram attacks are living. The second attack took place in a main market of the town.
