Puttur, Sep 14: A person, who reportedly tried to sexually assault a woman, was arrested by the police personnel of the town station here on Sunday September 13.
The accused, identified as Keshava, has been accused of trying to sexually harass a woman who was returning home on Saturday afternoon after working as coolie. On being produced in the court here, Keshava was remanded to judicial custody for two weeks.
The woman had filed a complaint in the town police station here relating to the incident. The policemen investigating the case said that the accused works as a railway gang-man here.
