Mangaluru: Goods tempo rams into two-wheeler, rider killed on spot

Mangaluru, Sep 15: A man was killed on the spot when a goods tempo rammed into his two-wheeler at Jeppinamogeru here on Tuesday September 15.

The deceased has been identified as Monu (45), a resident of Madaka near Deralakatte.

Monu was riding towards Thokkottu and the tempo also was plying in the same direction. It is said that near a turning at Jeppinamogeru, the tempo hit Monu's Activa and ran over him, killing him on the spot.

Monu was a contractor by profession.

Mangaluru rural police have registered a case.

    yes, with out knowing whose fault it's not advisable to comment. but seeing the 2 wheeler's driving on the road in our place, I mean in and around Mangalore, also the way they ( 2 wheelers ) come and join at this morgangate junction I some how feel it's 2 wheeler's mistake coming so close to the tempo. again, it's just due to the perception I have on the 2 wheeler drivers here. any ways, let's see if any eye witness comments we get here.. or what the investigation derives... but a young life demised on the road. really bad. RIP

    One more victim - one more road accident. Without going into details it can be surmised that the fault was either that of goods tempo driver or of the scooter driver. Whatever the cause of the accident is it is expedient that that traffic is regulated by ensuring that all follow traffic rules and regulations.
