Red Hat leads mobile infra services vertical: Forrester Research

New Delhi, Sep 15 (IANS): Linux-based open source solutions provider Red Hat leads the mobile infrastructure services vertical in 2015's third quarter in terms of vision, customer satisfaction, speed to market, and alliances, according to a report by independent research firm Forrester released on Tuesday.

"Cross-platform mobile infrastructure services play a vital role for organisations as they embrace the possibilities of business in a world where every employee, customer or partner carries a mobile device," said Red Hat's vice president, mobile platforms, Cathal McGloin.

As business leaders increasingly prioritise new mobile projects to improve employee productivity and build competitive advantage, IT departments are better able to meet this demand using these mobile development and integration services, he added.

In October 2014, Red Hat had accelerated its move into the enterprise mobility market with the acquisition of FeedHenry, a mobile application development platform provider with a top-ranked mobile backend-as-a-service capability.
