Udupi: Man commits suicide by lying across railway tracks

Udupi, Sep 16: A person named Prabhakar Shetty (35) from Kavadi Harvalu at Herady Chande near Brahmavar ended his own life by jumping across moving train on Tuesday September 15.

Shetty, who works at Bengaluru, had married two years back. He is survived by wife and a year-old child.

Prabhakar used to work at Bengaluru, and he had returned to his native place recently. The family members and neighbours could not think of possible reasons which would have driven Shetty to take this extreme step.

A case about this suicide was filed in Brahmavar police station.
