South Korea, US to hold defence talks


Seoul, Sep 17 (IANS): South Korea and the US are set to hold high-level defence talks next week in Seoul, authorities said on Thursday.

The eighth round of South Korea-US Integrated Defence Dialogue launched in 2011, will be held in Seoul for two days from September 23, Xinhua news agency reported.

Yoo Jeh-seung, South Korea's deputy defence minister for policy, will lead the country's delegation.

The US side will be headed by Abraham Denmark, deputy assistant secretary of defence for East Asia and Elaine Bunn, deputy assistant secretary of defence for nuclear and missile defence policy.
