Eight killed in Nepal bus accident


Kathmandu, Sep 19 (IANS): At least eight people were killed and 37 injured when a passenger bus plunged off a mountain highway in Nepal's Ramechhap district late Friday, police said.

The bus veered off the road at Gahirachowk area in Manthali Municipality of the district, 137 km from here, police inspector Makhan Yadav told Xinhua news agency.

"Preliminary investigation suggests that the driver is solely responsible for the mishap," the police inspector added.
