Rainy Saturday morning in Delhi


New Delhi, Sep 19 (IANS): It was a rainy Saturday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature settling at 26 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, the Met Office said.

The city received 21.6 mm rainfall till 8.30 a.m, according to the weather office.

"The sky would remain cloudy throughout the day. Light rain or thundershowers could occur in some areas," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius.

Friday's maximum temperature was recorded at 35.9 degree Celsius, two notches above seasons's average, while the minimum temperature was 28.5 degree Celsius, four notches above season's average.
