Chhattisgarh bans 'MSG-2 The Messenger'


Raipur, Sep 19 (IANS): After Jharkhand, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's "MSG 2 - The Messenger" won't be screened in Chhattisgarh theaters as well considering the sentiments of the tribal people, the state government said on Saturday.

“Chief Minister Raman Singh has said that tribal people won't be insulted at any cost. We will take care of their dignity hence Baba Ram Rahim's film “'MSG-2 The Messenger' won't be screened in Chhattisgarh,” Swaraj Das, the additional director of public relations, told IANS.

According to officials, the movie carries some unsavoury remarks against tribals and those who live in jungles.

Co-directed by Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and Jeetu Arora, the film was released on Friday.
