Raids in Germany over suspected IS collaborators

Berlin, Sep 22 (IANS): Hundreds of policemen on Tuesday raided several buildings looking for suspected Islamic State (IS) collaborators in the German capital of Berlin.

A police spokesman said the raids were part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged planned attack on the German security service, EFE news reported.

The suspects include a 51-year-old Moroccan citizen, accused of recruiting others to join the jihadi group in Syria.

The second suspect is a 19-year-old Macedonian, who is probably fighting in the IS ranks in Syria.
