Journo Chand Nawab who has over 560,000 hits on YouTube, hit by police

Karachi, Sep 22: Journalist Chand Nawab hilarious clip of reporting from a crowded railway station in Karachi went viral and was also replicated in Salman Khan's hit movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan is said to have been roughed up by police personnel, here today.

The journalist is said to have been assaulted along with his team members at Cantt Station. Incidentally Cantt Station where he was beaten up was the exact same one which had made him famous in the first place. The video show Chand Nawab being slapped at least twice by a senior police official dressed in white.

Chand Nawab, the police have claimed, was the one who instigated the whole drama that ensued. The police have said that the journalist had misbehaved with them much before they had reacted to his behaviour. Chand is said to have been reporting the illegal reselling of tickets to make extra profit at the station, a statement that the police have vehemently denied.

The journalist who words of -'Karachi main, andrune mulk log ' - still illicit a laugh from those who are familiar with the video, is seen being beaten up by police in a video that is currently doing the rounds on the internet. Sindh minister Nisar Khuhro is said to have taken notice of the incident and ordered for an inquiry to be conducted into the affair. Nawab's channel 92 News Channel, revealed that it had also brought the matter to the notice of Pakistan’s railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.
