India can help Indonesia in skill development: Diplomat


Jakarta, Sep 23 (IANS): India can help Indonesia in skill development and capacity building through a series of programmes in the coming years, a diplomat said here on Tuesday.

He said Indonesia will become the fourth largest economy by 2050.

"Indonesia is going to become fourth largest economy by 2050. It will grow rapidly and will need huge number of skilled workforce. Indian universities can help in skill development and capacity building," Manish, deputy chief of the Indian mission in Indonesia, said.

He also said that the Indian government was running vocational training centres in Jakarta and Aceh, which are model institutes.
