Noida, Sep 23 (IANS): A young man was stabbed to death in Uttar Pradesh's Noida town in the middle of the road late on Tuesday after a minor altercation in a restaurant, police said on Wednesday.
The entire incident was caught on CCTV camera. A police official told IANS that the victim Rahul had come to an eatery in sector 71 of Noida phase-III along with his brother Rohit.
As they ordered food, there was a heated exchange with the waiter after which the latter chased the brothers to the road. As the waiter started hurling abuses and manhandling Rahul, passersby and Rohit tried to mediate when the waiter whipped out a knife and stabbed Rahul in his stomach and fled, police added.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. Police has since seized the footage on the CCTV camera and is on the lookout for the assailant.
