West Bengal governor given additional charge of Tripura


New Delhi, Sep 24 (IANS): West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi has been given additional charge as governor of Tripura, a statement said here on Thursday.

Tripathi would be in charge of the state till Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy is on leave.

"The President of India has been pleased to appoint Governor of West Bengal to discharge the functions of the Governor of Tripura, in addition to his own duties, during the absence, on leave, of Tathagata Roy, Governor of Tripura," the statement said.
