Muscat, Sep 25: An announcement that the next major event will be a Quiz Show was made at the 24th inaugural function of Mangalorean Catholic Centre of parish (MCCP) - Muscat, Oman. This was received with tremendous enthusiasm and excitement by the crowd and people were seen actively forming groups for participation.
MCCP has now revealed that this quiz competition will be held on Friday October 9 at Ruwi Church main hall and will be conducted on a large scale with a high degree of professionalism.
The event will be showcased by Muscat Codex team headed by Hala Jamal, the quiz master. Muscat Codex is a group of individuals who are several time winners of Times of Oman quiz and have been conducting various quiz competitions including for schools for some years now. Though the entire show will be conducted on the lines of any international quiz show, it will be tailor-made to suit our community requirements. It will be a compact programme with continuous high voltage spectacle till the very end.
This infotainment event is aimed at improvement of knowledge, competitive spirit and personal growth among members of the community regardless of their age. It is also a good opportunity for the children to display their talent. While, the winners will walk away with several high value prizes, there will be many attractive prizes for the participants as well as audience.
In order to ensure a mix of adults and children at all levels, the participants have been asked to form groups of 3 each with at least one member being below the age of 18. The executive committee has also formed a special cell for helping those who want to participate but have not been able to form a group of 3 on their own. In order to avoid last minute disappointment, the community members have been requested to register their participation with any of the executive committee members on or before September 30.
Even as a spectator, a quiz show provides a tremendous learning experience and a huge amount of knowledge to young as well as old. Hence a large audience is expected to be at the venue to lap up this super sleek event. MCCP Team 24 is very enthusiastic and geared up in organising this rare event for the community and make it an enjoyable and memorable one.
