Mangaluru, Sep 25: Applications/recommendations are invited from Konkani artistes of Karnataka origin, from any dialect, religion, caste, creed for the annual ‘Kalakar Puroskar’ awarded by Mandd Sobhann in association with Carvalho Gharannem.
The award includes Rs 25,000 in cash, memento, certificate and public honour.
The 11th Kalakar Puroskar will be presented at Kalaangann on November 1 at 6 pm.
It is decided that this year an artiste of Karnataka origin who has specially contributed towards the enrichment of Konkani performing arts (music, dance, theatre or folk-arts) will be selected for the award.
Applications/recommendations along with a photo, list of achievements, proof and paper cuttings, should be sent to – Mandd Sobhann, Kalaangann, Makale, Shaktinagar, Mangaluru – 575 016 by October 10.
