Udupi: Samruddhi Jeevan foundation holds blood donation camp

Udupi, Sep 25: In association with district hospital, Samruddhi Jeevan foundation organized fifth nationwide blood donation camp on occasion of its managing director Dr Mahesh Kisan Mothevar’s birthday on Friday September 25 at Rajangana, Sri Krishna Math.

Sri Vidyavallaba Theertha Swamiji, Paryaya, Kaniyoor Math inaugurated and graced the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Swamiji said, “It is waste of donating blanket to a thirsty person instead of giving him water. Same way there is no use of giving water to a person who has met with an accident and who is in need of treatment. Today many accident victims and sick people need blood and now-a-days blood donation has become very important. I appreciate Samruddhi foundation for organizing this camp and extending a helping hand to the needy”.

Yashpal Suvarna, president of undivided fish federation and marketing was the chief guest of the programme. He appreciated the work of young people involved in organizing the camp and wished them good luck.

Prashanth K, regional officer of Samruddhi foundation in his key note address, gave a brief introduction about the foundation and also about the various activities carried out by them. 

In total, 122 units of blood were collected in a day. The foundation will be organizing blood donation camp in whole country on September 26, 2015. 

Harish K, Mangalore, Dr Sucheta , Government Hospital , Udupi, Tartha Yadav senior branch manager of Samruddhi foundation were present. 

Shivanand, Padubidri compered the programme and welcomed the gathering. Praveen, branch staff manager extended the vote of thanks.
