Children are free spirited, need to learn from them: Bachchan

Mumbai, Sep 26 (PTI): Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says adults need to learn to be free spirited, innocent and honest from children, who are the future of the country.

Bachchan, 72, attended an event at a city school and he wrote on his blog that it was a "joy" to spend time with children.

"A joy to be among them that shall one day be the future and run the country... They are free spirited, no inhibitions, no ego, no self consciousness, no fear and no ill will among them...

"They have truth, they have innocence and they do not hesitate to speak their minds without any hesitation... We need to learn so much from them...," he wrote.

The "Piku" actor, who played a college principal in Prakash Jha's "Aarakshan", said this time it was a role reversal for him, as the children were teachers and he was a student.

"An exciting moment I would say for me and for all because when you shall see the programme you will realise that it was we that were the students and the students our teachers..."

Bachchan also shared a picture on Twitter and wrote, "A day spent with school children for 'Swachata ki Paathshala'... So enlightening and a learning for me..."
