Shivan & Narresh geared up for off-site show for AIFW SS 16

New Delhi, Sep 27 (IANS): Designer duo Shivan Bhatiya and Narresh Kukreja, known for reinventing swimwear style with their eponymous label, will set the mood for the forthcoming Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2016 (AIFW SS) with their off-site show.

Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), the organisers of the fashion week, has announced Kohler presents Shivan & Narresh at an off-site show on Day One of the gala, slated from October 7 to 11 at the NSIC Grounds, Okhla.

“Shivan and Narresh are the future of fashion with more and more women embracing their eclectic swimwear styles; they have introduced magical drapes within this genre, in keeping with what modern women desire for a resort getaway.

"It will be interesting to see how the designers will translate the vivid colours and post-Impressionist artworks of Diego into their ingenious innovations at an off-site show," FDCI president Sunil Sethi said in a statement.

Shivan shared that the spring-summer 2016 collection takes forward the "artistic language of Mexican artist Diego Rivera and infuses its spirit in a Mediterranean mood for holidays and honeymoons to be recreated at the off-site show".

Popular for their cruise gowns and kaftans, the duo is excited about adding an intoxicating energy and flavour into the spring fever.

The collection is to be presented in association with kitchen and bathroom specialist Kohler, and keeping this in mind, Narresh added: “The line takes the silhouette language, inspired by the sharp constructs of Kohler's Couture Collection. The colour palette swims in tranquil notes of terracotta, herb greens, aqua and Hollywood pinks.”
