Mumbai, Sep 29: On the day of her mega famous sister Lata Mangeshkar's birthday, acclaimed singer Asha Bhosle lost her son Hemant Bhosle. She has lost her son within three years of losing her daughter Varsha.

Coming from such a musically talented family Hemant himself was quite a good music director, and composed songs such as "Jage jage nainon mein" for the movie 'Damaad', Marathi bhavgeet titled "Shaarad sundar" and "Yeu kashi priya". All of these were sung by his mother. Songs such as  'Shraddhanjali' and 'Nazrana Pyar Ka' were oft repeated too.

Hemant Bhosle, 66, who was battling cancer for quite a while, and was in Scotland during his last days is said to breathed his last yesterday when Asha was preparing for a concert in Singapore. The singer was due to fly back to India to celebrate her sister's birthday at a party but having been informed of such grave news, all the party preparations were immediately cancelled. Asha flew into India and met with her sister, both of whom are reported to have clasped their hands sharing each other's immeasurable pain. Asha is expected to fly to Scotland at the earliest possible.
