Bantwal: Bharath Bank holds free eye check up camp on anniversary

Bantwal, Sep 29: The third anniversary of the Bantwal branch of Bharath Bank was held in the bank premises on Sunday September 27.



The bank with the cooperation of A J Hospital and Research Center, department of opthalmology, conducted free eye tests and distributed spectacles on the occasion.

Dr Sudheer Hegde, head of the department of opthalmology lit the traditional lamp and inaugurated the programme.

Jayaraj Suvarna, Dr Manohar Rai, Billava Maha Mandala spokesperson Harikrishna Bantwala, Billava Sangha president Sesappa Kotian, former MLA Rukmaya Poojary, Birva center director Sanjeeva Poojary, Prakash Somayaji, advocate Ashwani Kumar Rai, Richard Sequeira, Uday Rai, G Anand, Sanjiva Poojary of Gurukripa, chief manager Raghava Bangera, assistant manager Shakuntala Narendra, staff Bhaskar Sarapady (Bengaluru) were present.

Bank's assistant general manager Balakrishna Karkera welcomed the gathering and compered the programme. More than 150 bank's customers and others got their eyes tested by experienced doctors. Spectacles were distributed to the needy free of charge. Branch manager Hema Suvarna proposed the vote of thanks.
