Mumbai, Sep 30: As Aditya Chopra announced his return to directing a movie after an seven year hiatus, on his father Late Yash Chopra's birthday, speculations were rife as to who will be his leading lady in Befikre. The top most two contenders seem to be Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor - both of whom shared screen space with Sushanth Singh Rajput in Shudh Desi Romance.

NH10 actress Anushka Sharma is said to have been the primary choice for the movie, but the actress has reportedly declined the role for undisclosed reasons. Soon after insiders were reported stating that the names of Ishaqzaade actress Parineeti Chopra and another previous Yash Raj heroine Vaani Kapoor were doing the rounds.

Aditya Chopra who recently married his long term rumoured girlfriend Rani Mukherjee in a secret ceremony abroad, is also being reported as all set to be a father. While the couple have never actually made a public statement about Rani's pregnancy, the Mardaani actress has been photographed with her baby bump time and time again.
