Abu Dhabi, Sep 30: Sandhya Creations second venture 'Dhand' after being successfully released in Sharjah recently with three shows is all set to have a special screening on demand in Abu Dhabi at Eldorado Cinema on Friday October 16 at 4.30 pm sharp.













The response in Sharjah was so good that Tulu movie lovers across UAE are wanting to have more shows in their territories across UAE. This prompted the organizers to have a special screening in Abu Dhabi now and plans are there to have one in Al Quoz, Dubai too.

Dhand creates history of being the first ever Tulu movie to have released outside India in Australia recently with 2 shows in Perth and Melbourne. It will create another record of being the first Tulu film to release in Leicester, UK at Piccadilly Cinemas, on Saturday October 3 at 12 pm noon. Further Dhand also created a record of being the first ever Tulu movie news featured with Tulu song aired on BBC Radio Asian Network hosted by RJ Omkar Shanthi recently. 'Nina Teliken' song sung by Sonu Nigam was aired on BBC Radio which received tremendous response from listeners. Dhand ran successfully in Mangaluru for around 70 days and had many shows screened in Mumbai and Nashik with more shows in the pipeline during the first week of October.

Dhand is all about the fight against drug abuse and atrocities towards women and this female oriented movie has been acclaimed as one of the best storylines ever made in Tulu movies so far with a good social message widely appreciated wherever released. Comparatively it has all the qualities of a good Bollywood movie entirely shot in and around beautiful natural locales of Mangaluru.

Dhand of Sandhya Creations is produced by Shodhan Prasad with the story written and directed by Ranjith Bajpe of Nirel fame having Arjun Kapikad playing protagonist of the movie along with Sandeep Shetty, Nirel fames Anoop Sagar whose performance in a negative role was really appreciated along with Deepak Paladka who acted as main comedian, supported by Gopinath Bhat, Umesh Mijar, Ranjan Boloor, Shilpa Suvarna, Anvita Sagar, Nidhi Maroli and Shodhan Prasad playing major roles in the movie along with other actors. It had beautiful songs penned by lyricsts Rajneesh Amin, Loku Kudla and Ravichandran Sonandur for the music composed by Abhishek S N. Mixing and mastering of the music was done by Swapnil Digde. Karthik Mallur captured every bit of the movie as DOP while Sujith Nayak did the editing part perfectly. For the first time Surakshitha Shetty was introduced as costume designer. The action pack was by the ultimate, Shivu and choreographed by Akul N. Dhand has Kishore Mudabidri as sssociate director and Rakshith Karanath Kulai, Surakshitha Shetty, Venu Shetty Mulki and Subhash Bangera as assistant directors.
