Mangaluru, Sep 30: The first meeting of Ullala Veerarani Abbakka festival committee was held at Click Hall, Thokkottu market recently.

The welcome committee president, former MLA K Jayarama Shetty lit the traditional lamp and inaugurated the meeting.

Office bearers of Veera Rani Abbakka festival committee U Sadananda Bangera, Fr Praveen Joy Saldanha, Thonse Pushkal Kumar, U P Aliabba, D N Raghava, M Vasudeva Rao, Abdul Azeez Haq, Laxmi Narayana Rai Harekala, Thyagam Harekala, Lokanath Rai, Thukaram, K M K Manjanady, Radhakrishna Rai, Prabhakara Jogi, Sathish Bhandary, Badshah Sambarthota, Vijaya Laxmi B Shetty, Rathnavathi J Baikampady, Namitha Sham, Devaki Ullal, Dhanalaxmi, Mallika Bhandary, Anupama C Babbukatte and others were present.

Committee executive president Dinakar Ullal welcomed the gathering and treasurer Ananda K Asaigoli proposed the vote of thanks. Chief secretary Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli compered the programme.
