Singapore, Sep 30 (IANS): Singapore stocks finished higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 2.95 points, or 0.11 percent, to close at 2,790.89.
A total of 1.13 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.34 billion Singapore dollars ($944.7 million), Xinhua news agency reported.
Gainers outnumbered decliners 205 to 168, while 565 others finished unchanged.
The STI index lost 3.98 points, or 0.14 percent, to close at 2,787.94 on Tuesday.
