Bantwal: Two more arrested in Kanyana murder case

Bantwal, Oct 2: Police have arrested two persons in relation to the Kanyana murder case.

Mahamood alia Sangam Mahamood (28) from Panjaje near Kanyana and Mohammed Ali alias Ali Monu (25) from Karopadi Kodla are the persons arrested. Later they were produced in court. These two persons were arrested for helping the main accused and for conspiring in the act.

Asif (24) from Bayikatte village in Kerala who had come to attend a wedding in Kanyana was murdered and Riaz (24) and Hakim (20) were attacked by a five member’s gang in the heart of Kanyana during day time on August 30.

The prime accused Rafiq alias Nappate Rafiq alias Muhammed Rafiq (26) from Attegoli in Kayyara village, Uppala, and Papddu alias Padmanabha (24) from Bayikatte in Paivalike, who was driving the car that was carrying the attackers were arrested on September 4.

The two prime accused had revealed the names of the people who had helped them.

Circle inspector Belliappa has revealed that whoever has helped in the execution of the brutal murder will be arrested soon.
