M'luru: Lourdes Central School celebrates 'A happy family day'

Mangaluru, Oct 2: 'Family is the gift of God' - The kindergarten section of Lourdes Central under the guidance and support of the principal Fr Robert D’Souza celebrated 'A Happy Family Day' on October 30 at 9.15 am.




























The main objective of the project was to highlight the importance of a happy family and how a healthy and happy family influence the children of today’s world. A very dynamic couple Pratham Bhandary and Sharika Bhandary were the chief guests for the day.

The programme was compered by Rosita D’Sa. The welcome and introduction were given by Lydia D’Souza. To make the programme lively and the audience sportive, various games were conducted for all ages young and old by Linette Periera and Metilda Pinto. Melodious songs of different languages trained by music maestro Roshan Cordeiro and Grace Rochewere were sung. Dances for the little ones were choreographed by Mahesh and helped by Prema Menezes.

The chief guest turned nostalgic when he highlighted the relationship he shared with LCS, as his daughter was its former student. He praised the hard work of the management, principal and staff. He reminded the parents that we should be ready to give back a little to the alma mater of our children. Our children should also be inspired by this gesture. Fr Robert D’Souza, principal highlighted the influence of a happy and healthy family on a child. Fr Wilson Vitus L D’Souza manager of LCS who also graced the occasion highlighted the importance of a peaceful family and also gave a briefing about the facilities provided to the children in LCS. He told the parents that his aim is to provide the best of the best to each student. Lavita D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks and the programme concluded with light refreshments for parents and children.
