'Rajwade And Sons' to close Jagran film fest in Mumbai


Mumbai, Oct 2 (IANS): Atul Kulkarni-starrer Marathi film “Rajwade And Sons”, which hinges on the bond shared within a family, will bring the curtains down on the sixth edition of the Jagran Film Festival here on Sunday.

The closing film was announced on Friday via a statement.

Produced by Y. M. Deosthalee of Kaffe Kamera, “Rajwade And Sons” is a family drama directed by Sachin Kundalkar, and traces the life of a power-packed Pune-based family - Rajwade.

The film has moments that take every viewer back to their family setting and relationships, and has a universal appeal.

Centered on the second generation of the Rajwade family, the story revolves around four young cousins who live in the same house but have different lives and career aspirations.

Also featuring Sachin Khedekar, Mrinal Kulkarni, Satish Alekar, Siddharth Menon, Alok Rajwade, Mrinmayee Godbole, Krutika Deo, Pournima Manohar, Rahul Mehendale and Suhani Dhadphale, the movie presents trials and tribulations of each young member of the family who challenges the fundamentals of a joint family in pursuit of her or his own dreams.

The 2015 edition of the Jagran Film Festival has traversed from Delhi, starting from July 1, to the Indian hinterlands of Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Agra, Meerut, Dehradun, Hisar, Ludhiana, Patna, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Raipur, Indore and Bhopal and will now culminate in Mumbai.
