As a matter of fact police has to investigate the case with complete sincerity and after the fair criminal trial, if he found guilty the accused shall be punished with stringent punishment and the victim girl shall be suitably compensated from the assets of the accused and if possible government shall adopt reservation policy for innocent victims who are subject of such crime.

Its BJP ministers humanitarian ground that he escaped from india like Lalit modi. God knows how many crores he paid for this. All humanitarian grounds are for rapists, fugitive, dacoits in BJP rule. Farmers are dying and Feku is busy in providing wifi connection.

Once again I see so many knee-jerk reactions.... kill him, stone him, hang him... after killing all the devils we will find more roaming about... you realize it? Saudi or any other kingdom should not be a reference... what happens behind their curtains is not known to you!! Can someone please talk about ways and means to reform society, by educating people, teaching about dignity of women and their rights... let us please talk sense in such fora...!!
Secondly... let those of us who have never sinned, think of casting a stone on this sinner...

While condemning any such incident, some 'conditioned' people are giving examples of some 'autocracy' following cruel religion based laws when they are not knowing what horrible crimes are going behind the closets along with violation of basic human rights with little coming in public domain as media is under their control!!!

Rudolf..for you this is small crime? Come out of the well. Rape is not a small crime. It's equal to killing. Don't sympathize with the rapist calling that there are other big crimes exist in society. You have soft corner for rapists and criminals. You had very soft corner for Castelino family who spoilt the life of Melwin Fernandes family. I don't understand your mentality.

@Comman man, mangalore, what are you trying to tell?should this Person be set free because all others are too commit sins. Then I have nothing to say.To educate such People? No it must be in nature of a peron to behave with whoom and how.when not they should be treated and given proper directions in psychiatric Hospital.when needed by public. He had certainly in clear senses that the victim was not in a state to do against him .would you do it suppose you had a Chance to meet a Girl who is sick?I am sure not.Instead of helping such victims in their Situation, raping?such People are the ones to Hand over to public and teach lesson he never Forgets if he survives.Really pity that Girl, govt should give compensation and protect them.

Sir, do not blame lawyers alone, in our criminal justice system, which may conclude in acquittal or miscarriage of justice due to variety of following reasons.

1 Investigating agency (Police) may not have performed the duties in accordance with Law (failure to collect all related material Evidence or destroyed material evidence due to negligence, failure to write or obtain timely reports or statements and experts opinion, critical contradictions and omissions, even some times political, social, religious, economic and personal relationship with accused party may have influenced the case negatively.

2 When the case is committed to court for trial, Public prosecutor may not have conducted the case seriously

3 Failure to implement witness protection program

4 Sometimes monitory offers or marriage offer from accused to victim side

5 Lack of Evidence or no adequate material evidence against the accused due to other variety of reasons

6 Sometimes accused may not be the true culprit, someone may have been implicated in the criminal case due to some reasons

7 Bribe (Corruption) may have taken place to cover up everything.

In the given scenario, the defense council (Lawyer) is paid for his service by the accused or his party, take advantages of one or more than one above said factors with help of his or her legal knowledge and skills.

In my view if everyone involved in the delivery of criminal justice system, do their duty with complete sincerity more conviction will take place and on the other hand the defense lawyer need to be blamed least since he is performing his or her duty in delivering the justice.

For your info google and read what a top official in their embassy (the place where you are residing now) did and escaped because of diplomatic immunity and another prince quietly escaped in a pvt. jet after committing worst crime than this, for months, from his huge mansion in the US!! So much for your rules and double standards!!!
