Nurse gets Dh50,000 for saving life of man wounded by gunfire

Saudi, Oct 5 (Emirates247): A Saudi businessman gave SR50,000 (Dh50,000) to a local nurse who saved the life of a man wounded by gunfire in a fight at a shopping mall in the Gulf Kingdom.

Saad bin Mohammed Al Gaybi said he decided to gift the nurse Areej Al Qahtani the sum for her efforts in saving the life of the Saudi man after he was wounded during the scuffle at the mall in the capital Riyadh.

“This is a small sum but is a token gift to this woman for her humanitarian and heroic efforts,” he said, quoted by ‘Sada’ newspaper.

The paper said Qahtani, a Saudi, was shopping at the mall when the gun fight erupted between members of two tribes.

“She managed to keep him alive until the ambulance arrived and took him to the hospital,” it said.
