Parineeti Chopra goes gaga over Priyanka 'didi'


Mumbai, Oct 5 (IANS): Parineeti Chopra is all praise for actress-cousin Priyanka Chopra, who has made her international TV debut with "Quantico". She says with each step, Priyanka is setting a “new benchmark” for Indian actors.

“Oh my god, how do you do it every time! So proud of you mimi didi! Love you amazing#QUANTICO GUYS!@priyankachopra,” Parineeti tweeted.

After dominating the Indian film industry, Priyanka turned to the West and emerged as a singer with hit singles like “Exotic”, and now she has made inroads in to the small screen space with action-thriller series “Quantico".

The former beauty queen plays an FBI agent, whose identity is shrouded by suspicion of being a terrorist.

Parineeti, who forayed into Bollywood with a supporting role in the 2011 romantic comedy "Ladies vs Ricky Bahl", noted that Priyanka's hard work is a source of inspiration for all.

“What you have achieved is unimaginable but I also know that only you could do it! So proud of you! #Quantico @priyankachopra. There is a new benchmark set for all of us. Why do you make us work so hard! Huh??? Hahahaha. Muuuahhhhhhh @priyankachopra,” she shared further.

Parineeti features in a multi-starrer web-series "Man's World", made in support of UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development campaign. The series went live on the Y-Films channel on YouTube on September 29.

Actor Sidharth Malhotra follows a strict fitness regime, but all Sidharth can think of post his workout session is - 'First, let me take a selfie'.

The actor, known for his looks and fitness level in Bollywood, took to Twitter to share a post workout selfie, in which he is pouting with Nitya Mehra, director of his upcoming film "Baar Baar Dekho".

“Post gym pout #BaarBaarDekho me and director Nitya #shoot #packup #crew #hangout,” Sidharth tweeted.

In the photograph, Sidharth, who had gained weight for his film “Brothers”, looks lean and sports a clean-shaven look. He is seen wearing a hood over his head.

The actor is caught up with the shoot of "Baar Baar Dekho", which will narrate a timeless love story on the big screen with Katrina Kaif as the female lead.

He also has "Kapoor And Sons", starring Alia Bhatt and Fawad Khan, lined up for release on March 18 next year.

With “Talvar”, Meghna Gulzar has taken a plunge into telling three theories around the 2008 murder of 14-year-old Aarushi Talwar and her family's domestic servant Hemraj, on the big screen. It also stars Konkona Sen Sharma, and hit the screens on October 2.

Big B attains 'ultimate joy'

The over eight-hour grind and tight work schedules doesn’t put pressure on megastar Amitabh Bachchan, but gives him the "ultimate joy".

The 72-year-old is juggling between his life on big screen and small screen. And he is now composing for his new TV show "Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi” as well.

“Back from work...its 4 am... ready for more... time spent at to Studios, composing for tracks for TV Show...its the ultimate joy,” Big B tweeted.

On the occasion of World Teacher's Day on Monday, the “Piku” actor also noted that teachers deserve utmost respect as they are the ones who guide you in life.
