Mangaluru, Oct 6: Tulu film 'Dabak Dabaa Aisa' produced and directed by Prakash Pandeshwar under the banner of Jayakirana Films has completed shooting in just 22 days. The shooting had begun on September 14 with the muhurat.
Addressing a press meet here on Tuesday October 6, Prakash Pandeshwar said, "Our first film 'Chaali Polilu' will complete one year in October end. 'Dabak Dabaa Aisa' is the second film produced under the banner of Jayakirana Films, and its shooting has been completed in just 22 days. The film was shot in various locations in and around Mangaluru and Suratkal, such as Bondel, Kulshekar, Panambur, Tannir Bavi and Mulky. The film has been made with a budget of Rs 50 lac.
He also said that Naveen D Padil and Sheetal are in the lead roles in the movie. "This is a unique movie with a social message. The screenplay and dialogues are by Shashiraj Kavoor, cinematography is by Uthpal Nayanar, music by Rajesh M Mangalore, and art by Tamma Lakshman. There are a total of four songs in the movie with lyrics by Devadas Kapikad, Kadri Navaneet Shetty, Veerendra Shetty Kavoor and Shashiraj Kavoor," he said.
He also said that the movie is now in post-production and is expected to release in January or February 2016.
Naveen D Padil said, "The character itself is the story of the film. Veteran actors like Devdas Kapikad, Bojaraj Vamanjoor, Arvind Bolar and Sundar Rai Mandara have acted in this movie. There are 4 songs in the film and all are made in a unique way. This is the first film where I had to be present at the shooting location on all 22 days."
Lakshman Kumar Mallur, Surendra Bantwal, Girish Shetty Kateel, Sudheer Raj Urwa, Sarojini Shetty, Umesh Mijar, Prasanna Bailoor, Satish Bandale, Ravi Surathkal, Somu Jokatte, Harish Kadandhale, Shobha Shakthinagar, Prashanth Konchadi, Sadashivadas, Mohan Koppala, Pushparaj Shetty Kudumboor, Manohar Shetty Surathkal, Yashawanth Shetty Krishnapura, Chethak Poojary, Vinod Yekkur, Chandrahas Kadri and others have also acted in the movie. Dr Hansaraj Alva and
senior journalist Manohar Prasad will be seen in guest appearances.
Lead actress of the movie Sheetal said that it was her first film and she has put in all efforts with dedication to do justice to her role.
Music director Rajesh Mangalore was present.
