Chennai, Oct 8: Anushka Shetty's historical drama film Rudhramadevi is all set to release in Tamil on the 16th of October. The film will be releasing in Telugu and Hindi on the 9th of October and exactly a week later it will be released in Tamil.
The movie tells the story of Rudhramadevi the 13th Kakatiya Queen, a prominent ruler, a powerful ruling queen and the last ruler of the Kakatiya dynasty. The Tamil release of the movie was pushed forward by its Tamil producers Thenandal, who released Puli, starring Vijay and Sridevi, just last week. The move was planned so that neither film would eclipse the earning of the other.
Directed by Gunashekar, the movie was made in Rs 80 crores and has Prakash Raj, Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Krishnam Raj and Vikramjeet Virk as part of its star studded cast.
