Udupi: DCIB arrests drug peddlers from Orissa on tip-off

Udupi, Oct 10: DCIB police inspector T R Jaishanker and his team. Following a tip-off, arrested two drug peddlers near Indrali railway station at about 10.15 am on Thursday October 8.

The peddlers identified as Sagar Polai (19) and Rabikishan (22), residents of Badaguliyali panchayat, Gonjim district, Orissa, were holding ‘Ganja’ in a red bag and a plastic packet and were looking for customers.

Police arrested the duo and recovered Ganja weighing 5.145 kg, two mobile phones, PAN card and a purse. The value of the seized items is said to be Rs 1,26,480.

A case has been registered against the duo under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act 1985, at Manipal police station.
