Flower vendor murder: Moodbidri bandh continues, normal life hit

Yashodhara Bangera
Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (EP)

Mangaluru, Oct 10: Following the murder of flower vendor and Bajrang Dal activist Prashant Poojary by a gang of six on Friday October 9 in Moodbidri, most of the residents condemned the incident by observing a voluntary bandh on Saturday October 10.

Prashant was allegedly killed on Friday morning at about 7.30 am and a bandh was observed soon afterwards. By evening, the situation turned tense as some activists pelted stones and damaged shops, and police had to resort to lathi charge.

There was confusion among people regarding the bandh on October 10. However, most of the buses stayed off the roads since Saturday morning. Later, a group of youths also blocked school and college buses and forcibly shut down some shops.

With this, the entire Moodbidri town and outskirts remained deserted and normal life was hit severely.

BJP and Vishwa Hindu Parishat leaders, however, said that they did not call for the bandh. "The banth was observed by the people on their own accord condemning the murder of Prashant. We regret for the confusion and damage to property on Friday," they said.

Come to Moodbidri & see… People, especially youngsters standing in groups every corners of the town, irrespective of religion, caste, creed, political party and chatting, cracking jokes, making fun of one another & enjoying their time. Hardly you can see any fights or brawls here. People here do politics, but only during election time. Rest all the times, we can see peace and unity. That’s ‘Namma Bedra’

May the victim get justice & offender get punishment & such incident don’t repeat in future.

Before making India 'Digital', make people Human Being & lead a civilized life.

Before making Bharat 'Swachch', remove all hatred from our mind and heart.

We respect animals (we are at least afraid of some animals) more than the human being. But there is no mere respect to human being for the reason that I am always superior to the rest. Until we respect each other there will never be harmony.
Religion of an Indian can be predictable only in India. Once an Indian is out of India, he/she is recognized just as an Indian.

Innocent killing and Rowdys, gangsters killing there is lots of difference....

If an innocent killed by a mob,or by police then Compensation is justified.

But if government start to give compensation for the murder of street rowdys, antinationals,Underworld dons then public money will have no values.

Bhakths should understand this logic first.

This shows the complete breakdown of law and Order machinery in karnataka state. Such incidents are in the increase,of late. The government's commitment towards law and order is questionable. It is not impartial. The inaction from the police is very evident. Otherwise , how such a brutal crime could be hatched and uted in the day light at such a location. It gives rise to many doubts and questions. All is not well under the present CM and HM. It is very difficult to win the confidence of every community without being impartial.
Irony is that so far we have not heard any hue and cry from the bleeding heart secularists. This murder is also possibly linked to the cow. But , then , why no national level publicity by the media unlike that from UP.

The killers and their supports here should be brought to justice. the man seems to be innocent until now. but certain sickular are celebrating the killing as he being a BD member is good enough to eliminate him. All stone aged thinkers who justify the killng of an innocent man are as much guilty as the killers.

If somebody killed Prashanth, why Sanghis damaging the properties of innocents? Police will catch the culprits and law of the land will punish them. Since Sangha Parivar killing innocent people just on the suspicion of beef consuming, this kind of one to one murder will continue. We can see only jungle raj across the country after Modi became the PM. If BJP want to create unrest in the country just for the sake of Cows, India will be worst than the PAK, Afghan in coming days.

Do not come to conclusion as-usual dirty communal mindset let police investigate the case properly, last month in Mangalore auto driver BD activities getting assaulted by unknown persons later BD and BJP did protest and demand for proper probe, finally case traced and some BD actives get involved in this case because of some personal revenge.
and the murder person is not saint he has so many criminal cases let support for police for investigate the case.
