Asia Pacific meet to discuss exercise and sports science


New Delhi, Oct 12 (IANS): As many as 900 delegates from 41 countries are expected to debate on a slew of issues, including promotion of research in the sphere of exercise and sports, during the 7th Asia Pacific Conference on Exercise and Sports Science (APCESS 2015) that starts from Wednesday.

Being organised for the first time in India, the conference theme is Inter-disciplinary Applied Approach to Health and Performance Enhancement through Sports Science, according to a release.

Manav Rachna International University, Faridabad, and Asian Council of Exercise and Sports Science (ACESS) are holding the event. The conference is supported by the Sports Authority of India (SAI).

The three-day conference is scheduled to be held in the weightlifting auditorium of the Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium on Wednesday.

Research scholars from countries such as China, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Malaysia, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey and Zimbabwe have already confirmed their presence for APCESS 2015.
