Nottingham, UK, Jul 31: The Mangalorean United Konkani Association organized their annual summer day out on July 29, 2007 at Carsington water reservoir  which was attended by well over 90 people.


The day began on time at 10 a.m where all members travelled from Nottingham to Carsington.
       
President John Peter Fernandes addressing the gathering with a warm welcome note for the new members and guests, especially those from UK Konkans, London, followed by a prayer by Anita Sequeira.

Initially the children’s games were conducted according to their age group. Four groups were formed among the adults for different cultural as well as sports activities, including cricket. Everyone actively participated in them.

Barbecue and lunch were other highlights. Prizes were given to winners.

Secretary Sunitha Rodriguez thanked everyone including organizers and sponsors.

Cultural secretary Sunil D'Cunha, Vincent D'Souza and Praveen D'Souza played a major role in organizing the day-out.
