Subba Rao who sustained serious injuries was taken to Yenepoya Hospital where he succumbed to injuries later.

SP Satheesh Kumar while speaking to the press said that police have formed 4 teams to nab the culprits. Security has been beefed up and police are checking all the vehicles coming in and going out from the city.
