Udupi: Little Rock emerge state champions at Rural IT Quiz

Udupi, Oct 21: Karthik M Rao and Geeve George of class XI, Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar have emerged state champions after a keenly fought quiz round held at the Sri Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur on October 20.

The duo pulled off a thrilling victory against the teams from the Sainik School, Bijapura and the Poornapranja PU College, Udupi.

This year's Rural IT Quiz began with preliminary rounds in September. 220 teams participated in the district level quiz, from whom 25 teams were chosen for the Regional Level Quiz at Mysuru. Little Rock won the Regional Championship at Mysuru and qualified for the state final. The state final was held at Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur today. Little Rock Indian School emerged as state champions for the fifth time since the inception of this massive quiz contest organized jointly by the IT ministry of the Govt of Karnataka and the TATA Consultancy Services (TCS) Bengaluru.
