Mangaluru, Oct 21: Dr Julian Saldanha has assumed the post of new resident medical officer (RMO) at district Wenlock hospital on October 16.

Dr Julian is a well known senior specialist who has shown concern and due care to all. His new role will be challenging and he will work hard to make the district hospital administration better for people.

Dr Julian Saldanha comes from Konkani Catholic family. He was appointed as assistant surgeon in the department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka in 1991. He earned his MD in internal medicine from Fr Muller's Hospital Mangaluru in 1997 and initially served in Bhatkal before being promoted and posted at Government District Wenlock hospital Mangalore as senior specialist in charge of dept of medicine.

Dr Julian Saldanha is also an active member in social circle. He has served successfully as secretary association of Physicians of India, DK branch for two terms. He was a member of Indian Medical Association (IMA), Rachana, Mens sodality, member of Dakshina Kannada cricket association and so on.
